Privacy policy
This site sets no cookie, shows no ads and uses no third-party analytics. Here is what is collected, and why.
1. What is collected
1.1 Through the contact form
First name, last name, e-mail address, organization (optional), subject and message: what you write yourself.
1.2 Automatically
Like any web server, the site records for each request the IP address, the time, the page asked for, the response code, the page you came from, your browser (user agent) and its language.
2. What it is used for
The form is only used to reply to you.
The logs are used for the site's security (spotting abuse and attacks) and for visit statistics computed on my own server: number of visitors, pages read, where visitors come from, countries. In those statistics, a visitor is counted through a fingerprint of their address and browser.
3. Legal basis
The form: your consent, given with the checkbox; you can withdraw it at any time.
The logs: my legitimate interest in protecting the site and knowing whether it is read.
4. Sharing
4.1 Service providers
I neither sell nor hand over your data. Two technical providers are involved: OVHcloud, which rents the server, and Google Workspace, the mail service that receives the form's messages.
5. Cookies and local storage
No cookie. Only your choice of light or dark theme is kept in your browser (local storage); it is never sent to the server. Fonts are served by the site itself.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Only I can read the logs.
7. How long data is kept
Form message: the site does not store it; it lands in my mailbox and I keep it for as long as our exchange lasts.
IP address, to limit the number of messages: one hour, in memory only.
Server logs: 14 days, then deleted automatically.
8. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, the restriction of its processing, object to it or withdraw your consent, through the contact form.
You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country: the CNIL in France, the Commission d'accès à l'information in Québec.
9. International transfers
I live in Canada: the messages you send me are read there. Google Workspace may process e-mails outside the European Union.
10. Changes
This policy may change with the site; the version published here is the one that applies.
11. Contact
For any question about your data, write through the contact form.
